Product: ELITEBOOK 850 G1
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

 

I am trying a firmware update for my TPM and when i start the wizard it asks me for a Owners Password or Owners password Backup file, i have no idea where it is or where to find it?

Im using a HP Elitebook 850 G1 running windows 10 pro, Can anyone please help me with how i go about updating this firmware or where i can get the password from plz?

In desperate need of advice as i cant contact HP support till monday...

Thank you Cheryl for your reply :Wink:,

I found out yesterday that Microsoft will not assisst me with this problem, i contacted Live Chat and it was a waste of time....

I have read so many articles about this, that i am so totally confused now,  Ii will re-read the post that you recommended and try to sort some kind of list with all the instructions in order along with any Important Tips or guide as how to get thru this dilema.  Now my laptop is refusing to restart..... it gets stuck on loading 'restarting' and does this for hours, until i forcefully turn off with holding the power button down. 

I am at my wits end  PLEASE ANYBODY THAT HAS KNOWLEDGE OR THE ANSWER, I WOULD SINCERELY LOVE TO BE ABLE TO SOLVE THIS ASAP  :Halo:
