I am getting an imminent failure message. The HP diagnostic said the referenced code was for my primary (only) drive. It is a 1TB SSD. The laptop is still functioning fine. Any suggestions to fix it or confirm failure? I have backed up externally.

Here is the site to check the failure ID:

Do not expect much information to be given. It will likely just say drive failure which you already know. When I tried to run the Code you gave it says Invalid Failure ID so I suspect you have mistaken an "I" for a 1 or something like that. You can run any number of hard drive test apps, but the HP Failure ID is pretty reliable and definitely indicates you need to replace the drive. You can keep using it for a while but eventually the problem will become very apparent and it might just not boot up one day.

Thanks. I used https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact/diag. You are correct. I just better get on the replacement trail. I am now using my old laptop (9 years old). My new one which is failing is 1 year and 1 month old. Bad luck for sure.
