i cannot find my SD drive in my device manager but it definitely physically exists.....also I do not know which Sd card to purchase for my laptop but I do know I would like at least a few hundred more gigabytes of storage.

The drive may not show up in the device manager until you insert a SD card.

 

I don't know how high a capacity SD card you can install because that information is never available.

 

The only SD card info available is what is listed in chapter 1 of the service manual:

 

Maintenance and Service Guide HP 14 Laptop PC

 

I used a 64 GB SD card in a HP Stream notebook made in 2017 and it worked with no problem.

 

The 64 GB eMMC flash storage drive your notebook comes with is not upgradable, nor can an additional internal drive be installed.
