I have a HP Notebook - 17-x061nr (Energy Star) I was hoping to upgrade the RAM from 8 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB) to 16gb. I'm not sure if I can or not or how many sluts i have.Thanks for any help you can give me.

Something isn't right about the specs.

Either the memory DDR4 spec is wrong, or the Intel® Core™ i3-5005U processor spec is wrong.
Your PC needs to have an Intel 7th gen core processor for DDR4 memory to work.
If your notebook has an Intel® Core™ i3-5005U, then that uses DDR3L memory.
I have zipped up and attached a free utility below that will give you the memory specs, or you can let me know the processor spec is not correct.
The utility will also let you know how many memory slots your PC has--it should have two.

OK...
So the processor specs on the HP page are incorrect and the memory spec is correct.
So, what you want to do is to find an 8 GB DDR4-2133 memory modue with the same timing specs as what you have in there now and you should be good to go.
