Yes, you need a very stable AC power source and please note:
- when loosing power suddenly your machine may get unpredictable damages specially its HDD
- I don't know what is your Victus 16. Your machine may not have RTC battery therefore the clock may not run properly
I actually use few machines w/o batteries but I use UPS for all machines in my house including my NAS.
