I get the SMART Hard Disk Error 301, but when I try to reset the BIOS it didn't work, and neither did changing the boot priority order. When I scanned the system, it came up with a "Hard Drive Short DST Check: FAILED" and I'm not sure how to fix it.
Please help!!

Did you receive 24-character Failed ID ? Sadly to say: Most of the time the 24 char disk failure id indicates the HDD is failing and it needs to be replaced.. Is it still under warranty ? If NOT, you have to replace yourself then rebuild your machine.
