- My parent bought this laptop at Walmart with no computer knowledge and we do not know what parts too use or if it is even possible to upgrade the ram or replace the hard-drive for one with higher storage. Can i just buy a 2 terabyte ram stick and hard-drive and install it or do I need a specific type of hard-drive and ram stick. I am to play games like minecraft or fortnite and watch movies on this device.

Please post the product number of your notebook.
To find the product number for your PC, click on the search icon on your Windows taskbar.
Type: System Information
The System information app should show up.
Run the app and the product number of your PC will be found on the System SKU line about 1/4 of the way down on the report.
All I can tell you right now based on the information you posted is that your notebook has one memory slot.

Below is the link to the parts list for the product number you posted.
It comes with a 64 GB eMMC flash storage drive which is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.
If you need more storage space, your only option would be to use a SD card.
Your notebook has one memory slot.
You can replace the 4 GB memory chip and replace it with an 8 GB memory chip.
You may be able to install a 16 GB memory chip.
It may be possible to install 1 x 16 GB if the following report you run returns a maximum capacity report of 33,xxx,xxx:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
The report will be picking up the circuitry for a second memory slot that isn't there.
If the report returns a value of 16,xxx,xxx then 8 GB will be the max.
