I have OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dh1xxx which is a laptop and I have another monitor which has 165 Hz FPS, I want to use what I can, my question is which cable should I buy so I can enjoy it? I will be immensely grateful.

I couldn't find the laptop's ports but I know I have HDMI but which version?

The monitor has these ports: DisplayPort 1.2: HDMI(v2.0) Dual-Link DVI

You have all these ports:

+igh-deƭnition multimedia interface (HDMI) v.2.0 + HDCP 2.2 supporting up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz
Hot plug/unplug and auto detect for correct output to wide-aspect vs. standard aspect video (auto
adjust panel resolution to ƭt embedded panel and external monitor connected)
Mini DisplayPort™
USB 3.0 Type A ports (3); two on left side, one on right side; supports HP Sleep & Charge (right side)
USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port (left side; supports data transfer, DisplayPort 1.4 output up to 7680 × 3840
[60 Hz]; supports HP Sleep & Charge)
USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port with Thunderbolt™ Gen 3 technology (left side)

I tend to prefer USB-C to Displayport but you can also use the mini Displayport.

Cables would look like this:

https://www.amazon.com/DisplayPort-Thunderbolt-Compatible-Display-Gold-Plated/dp/B0731GNYCN/ref=sr_1...

-OR-

https://www.amazon.com/DisplayPort-Certified-Gold-Plated-Thunderbolt-Compatible/dp/B07RY75V7Q/ref=sr...

HDMI would also work but it looks like the USB-C to DP has a very strong bandwidth and would produce a very good video signal to the monitor.

Thanks these are very useful, but can'I get at least 144hz with one of the ports? My laptop screen is 144hz, again thanks a bunch.

That is a function of the video card not the cable. The usb-C to DP port does 60 hz at some enormous resolution much bigger than anything you would have for your monitor unless it is like a Jumbotron in a stadium. So it may do a higher refresh rate on a smaller resolution monitor. What resolution is your monitor?

1920x1080, and I cannot express my gratitude, I will try to read about these things more, I am supposed to be an engineer.

Cables of the kind I suggested will provide the highest refresh rate the hardware is able to do. Just buy good quality cables, don't pick the cheapest.
