Hi @NilsG,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you receive a battery warning on your HP ENVY notebook -15-ae 103, it is important to take immediate action to prevent potential damage to your device or even personal harm. Here are a few steps you can take.
- Save your work and shut down your laptop: If you haven't already done so, save your work and close all programs. Then, properly shut down your laptop to prevent any data loss.
- Unplug your laptop from the power source: Make sure to unplug your laptop from the power source to avoid any further charging to the battery.
- Remove the battery: If the battery is user-replaceable, carefully remove it from the laptop. Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to do this for your particular model.
- Inspect the battery: Check the battery for any physical damage or leaks. If you notice any, do not attempt to use the battery and dispose of it properly.
- Let the battery cool: If the battery is hot to the touch, let it cool down before attempting to handle it.
- Replace the battery: If you determine that the battery needs to be replaced, order a new battery. Make sure to get the correct battery model for your laptop.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
