I have an HP Pavilion 15 cs-003np laptop with 4gb ram and 1TB hard disk, Now i wish to upgrade it with samsung 980 1tb nvme ssd and to 16gb ram so i wanted to know can this upgradation work and kindly suggest the sutiable ram and ssd for the best performance

Hello.

 

The Samsung 980 should work fine with your laptop, but any NVMe 2280 PCIe 3x4 SSD is a good candidate, as long as it is one sided. Most are.

 

To achieve 16 GB system memory, buy two 8GB DDR4 SODIMM memory modules rated at 2400 speed. (DDR4-2400 can also be specified as PC4-19200). If you have a 7th gen CPU, then you can also go for DDR4-2133 to possible save a few rupees. The memory module speeds can be higher but will work only at the speed the CPU will support, so either 2133 or 2400.

 

Do not buy DDR4L memory, it is not compatibe.
