@Mostafa33, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing an unusual charging behavior with your Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa1043ne, where the battery jumps from 30% to 100%. I’ll guide you through a few steps to help diagnose and potentially resolve this issue.

Update BIOS and Drivers

Outdated firmware or drivers can cause battery reporting issues.

  1. Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
  2. Enter your product name: Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa1043ne.
  3. Download and install the latest:
    • BIOS
    • Chipset drivers
    • Battery management or power drivers

Restart your laptop after each update.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics for Battery

You mentioned trying HP software, just to confirm, please run this specific test:

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  3. Select Component Tests > Power > Battery.
  4. Run the test and note the Battery Status and Cycle Count.

You can also run the test from Windows using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows. HP PC Hardware Diagnostics | HP® Support

Perform a Battery Calibration

Sometimes, recalibrating the battery helps correct charge level reporting:

  1. Charge the battery to 100%.
  2. Disconnect the charger and let the battery drain completely until the laptop shuts down.
  3. Recharge it uninterrupted to 100%.

This helps the system re-learn the battery’s actual capacity.

Check Battery Health in HP Support Assistant

  1. Open HP Support Assistant (or download it here - HP Support Assistant | HP® Support).
  2. Go to My Notebook > Battery > Battery Check.
  3. Review the battery condition. If it shows Replace, the battery may be faulty.

Reset Embedded Controller (EC)

This can fix power-related anomalies:

  1. Shut down the laptop.
  2. Press and hold Power + Mute (F6) for 15 seconds.
  3. Release and power on the laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
