Your laptop has no support from HP for Windows 11.
How to check for Windows 11 compatibility
You can still install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware.

Try the following in the BIOS settings.
Your HP laptop probably does not have an advanced settings mode.
I suggest looking in the Security tab.
That is where the support document says that it is.

Your processor is an Intel® Core™ i7-8550U. It is on the Windows 11 Compatibility list.
In BIOS, secure boot must be enabled.
Check in the system configuration dialogue to see if your BIOS mode is legacy or UEFI.
It must be in UEFI mode
To do that, in the search box in the systray, type in msinfo and click on the System Information app which appears above.

Is your BIOS in UEFI mode?
If it is in BIOS mode then updating the BIOS will be safe to do.
Driver & Software updates (Click on the BIOS section and then click on the + next to previous versions)
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-15-da0000-laptop-pc/model/23978763?sku=4UJ11EAR
Do not update to the very latest version!!
This is why:
"
- Provides enhanced security. NOTE: Due to the security updates installed by this BIOS update, previous BIOS versions cannot be reinstalled after this BIOS update is run."
Try the previous versions first. Find out which one yours is and install the one that is one newer than yours.
