@trihelm1,

Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Restart Your PC
A simple restart can sometimes clear any temporary update issues.

Run Windows Update Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
  • Select Windows Update and then click Run the troubleshooter. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Manually Install Pending Updates

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • If updates are still showing as "retry," try downloading and installing them manually.

Uninstall Problematic Updates (Optional)

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > View Update History.
  • If you notice a specific update that’s causing the problem, click Uninstall updates and remove it.

Try Updating Again
After clearing the cache and resetting, try checking for updates again.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
