HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-c3000 IDS Base Model

I have a xfinity xb8 router/modem combo which supports 6Ghz. My Pixel 8 Pro connects to the 6Ghz band. HP Smart friend tells me my computer can't support it. I bought the computer brand new in March 2024. Is this computer not upgradeable? The NIC connects to 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz well. I am really wondering if anyone knows about this.

Its specs

It has one of the following options

  • Realtek Wi-Fi 6 (2x2) and Bluetooth® 5.3 combo (supporting gigabit data rate)

  • Realtek Wi-Fi 6 (1x1) and Bluetooth® 5.3 wireless card

Yes It does support Wifi-6, you can see it picks up Wifi-6 SSID. Please read the following topic many phones can but not all computers.
