HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-es1000 IDS Base Model

This is not the best experience, by any stretch of the imagination. I just want to know the part number for the fan or fans that are malfunctioning with this laptop. The cycle of asking me for SN and then telling me that's not enough info and then telling me that the ProdID or model number isn't enough while il literally copy pasting from the laptop itself... Anyway.

I just want to order the replacement fan or fans. This shouldn't be so difficult. Can someone help?

I have the Envy x360 convertible... 15.6" 2-1....

@Rubio96

Very difficult indeed because normally HP does not stock all spare parts. Your machine may have 2 fans

  • Processor fan (includes cable) part # M45465-001
  • Graphics fan (includes cable) part # M45466-001

Regards.

Thanks, BH.

The problem I have is that those might be the right part numbers. How do I know what they actually are without popping open the laptop?

They are on the same location (not one side each)), very hard to know from outside

Sounds like we have to open the machine.
