@MANIDEEP_1246, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it can be when your laptop battery drains even while it's plugged in. Let's walk through some steps to identify and resolve the issue.

Check the Power Adapter and Charging Port

  1. Ensure the charger is genuine HP and matches your laptop’s power requirements.
  2. Inspect the charging cable and port for any visible damage or loose connections.
  3. Try plugging the charger into a different wall outlet.

Perform a Battery Test Using HP Diagnostics

HP provides a built-in tool to check battery health:

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to open the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  3. Select Component Tests > Power > Battery.
  4. Run the test and note the results.

Update BIOS and Drivers

Outdated BIOS or drivers can cause power issues.

  1. Visit the HP Support Website.
  2. Enter your laptop model.
  3. Download and install the latest:
    • BIOS
    • Chipset drivers
    • Power management drivers

Perform a Power Reset

  1. Shut down the laptop.
  2. Unplug the charger and remove the battery (if removable).
  3. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the battery and charger, then power on.

Check Battery Settings in Windows

  1. Go to Settings > System > Power & Battery.
  2. Ensure no custom power plans are limiting charging.
  3. Disable Battery Saver if it’s turned on.
