Hello, You are my last chance to get the name of my lost original battery charger of my laptop, bought around 5-6 years ago. It seems a couple of compatible battery I can buy, but I was asked if I want the 11.1 volts or the 14.4 volts (if I remember rightly), and I really seem not to be able to find it out! Anyone can help me please please please? I am desperate! ([edited], M5K84EA# ABZ, 15-AF019NL)

You're very welcome.
Remove your original battery, and there should be a HP part number on it that matches one of those listed in the service manual.
I would get the one that matches the part number...3 or 4 cell, as applicable.
4-cell, 41-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery HP part # 807957-001
3-cell, 31-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery HP Part # 807956-001
Either one should work just fine, but to be safe, get the same one that the part number on your battery would be equivalent to.
I would bet that your notebook has the 3 cell battery.
God Bless you too!

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
Chapter 3, page 22 lists the adapters that were offered.
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04653881
The only one it could be would be this one...
65-W, non-PFC, 4.5 mm HP Part # 710412-001
If you do a search of the part number, this is the info on it...
- 65W
- 19.5V
You can buy either battery listed in chapter 3 page 20 of the service manual...the 3 or 4 cell model.
The 4 cell model will provide a longer time without recharging.

Hello, thank u so much for taking the time and the effort to helping me. Is it referred to my laptop? My laptop is: 15-AF019NL.
It seems that the manual guide you told me is referred to another laptop......
Can you continue to helping me please?
I look forward to hearing from you
Kindest regards
Francesco

You're very welcome, Francesco.
The manual is applicable to the 15-AF model series, which includes your notebook too as well as the HP business model equivalent -- the 255 G4.
Unfortunately, the manual does not specify 15-AF, it just lists on chapter 1, page 1 this...
Product name
HP Notebook PC (yours)
HP 255 G4 Notebook PC

Hello good man. Your reply went into the spam folder (gosh!!!) and thank you for blessing me too 😉
Anyway...., thank so much for your reply!
I cannot get the code number or any details at all of my old battery because I lost it (probably somebody stole it from me)
I'll try to buy the one you were think of...., the 3 cell one...., as you said it should work.
HP customer service emailed me, but the link they sent me, doesn't open..., not even the official authorized HP sellers nearby my home [(POTENZA) Italy], link, opens...., bizarre!
The HP link i was sent by HP is: https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/Default.aspx?mscssid=F401EE7FEB7D4A42B1FF15FD0FAFD076
Can you open it up? If so, what does it say please?
Here instead, is the link of shops / sellers nearby my home: http://www8.hp.com/it/it/store-finder/find.do?bs=SR2&type=reseller
Does it show you anything please? Who knows if this coronavirus has something to do with not showing places where to go and get this battery, as people now cannot go around, but just staying at home till this virus is beaten!
I look forward to hearing from you and I hope you are fine and safe and that you are careful in being safe.

Hi, Francesco:
The link you posted opens to the HP parts store but nothing shows up.
You can enter the 3 cell battery part number ( 807956-001) in the box at the link below, I selected the Italian site.
HP has the battery in stock. 46.63 Euros.
You stay safe too! Italy is in worse shape than the USA, but we are catching up.
I hope this virus goes away as fast as it went around. I've never seen such a thing.
All of the local stores and supermarkets are out of merchandise. Short supply of food, cleaning supplies, and whatnot.
They just closed all public schools in our state until the end of March, all professional sports games suspended, most universities will only have on-line classes...

Hello Paul, thank you...
yes, I saw the one of 46.63 euros including postage...
HP support team also emailed me today asking me to call them tomorrow to a number in BARI, Italy...., let's see what they say tomorrow...
How can I give you Kudos? I am new here and I don't know how to get my way around... lol! I read that kudos is a way to show appreciation about the help I received from you...please
I look forward to hearing from you please
