HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk10000 Laptop PC (8VD47AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I'm Planning to Add additional RAM to my system, Need Advice on the same.

Laptop: HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk1508tx. 8 GB DDR4 RAM.
I'm planning to add additional 8 GB DDR4 RAM to available empty slot. What are the do's and don't while doing that.

I have shortlisted "Crucial RAM 16GB Kit (2x8GB) DDR4 3200 MHz CL22 Laptop Memory CT2K8G4SFRA32A" but i'm skeptical as this RAM is of different brand than currently installed by the manufacturer.

My queries are 1) Should add above mentioned RAM? will it have any compatibility issue?
2) Should i add the same additional RAM as currently present in the System?

It specs

            https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c07086344

It has  8 GB DDR4-2933 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB) on 1 slot. The BEST option is to put same existing RAM to slot 2 to have 16GB. You can also use

           https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct8g4sfra32a/ct20432190      (will run at 2933MHz)

You can also upgrade to

Thank You for Response.

As you suggested i should preferably going for same brand RAM as currently installed in the system. Could you help determine which brand RAM is present in the system.

I checked using CPU-Z and it stated that my system is having "SK Hynix 8GB SODIMM DDR4 3200 PC4 1Rx8 HMA81GS6DJR8N-XN SO-DIMM". How can i confirm this? Or will i have to open the back panel and check?
