The last time I had an issue where I couldn't mute and unmute my mic using the F8 shortcut key on my keyboard, it was because I hadn't updated Windows. After updating, it started working again.
However, I'm now facing the same issue. There is an update available, but it's not appearing in the power button menu (where lock, sleep, restart, and shutdown options are). Instead, it's showing up in the settings. When I try to update to Windows 11, version 24H2, it says that my PC doesn't currently meet the Windows 11 system requirements.
My PC is an HP ProBook 450 15.6-inch G9 Notebook with an Intel Core i7 processor and HP Wolf Security. I already have Windows 11 installed

"Windows 11, version 24H2, it says that my PC doesn't currently meet the Windows 11 system requirements"
Microsoft has backed away from forbidding the installation of Windows 11 on unsupported hardware.
There is a caveat.☠️
That caveat is that installing Windows 11 to a laptop or PC that is not supported with drivers or firmware can or will suffer from parts of the operating system or hardware not working as expected.
