The original power supply that came with my laptop does not work anymore. Can I buy one from HP?
If not what would a perfect replacement.

Hi DV7-3080ca,
From looking at your Maintenance and Service Guide here, I can find that it requires a 90W AC adapter and that it originally came with a 120W AC adapter.
The 120W AC Adapter has part number 463953-001.
However, upon searching it on the HP Part Store, I found that only newer options were available. This is the order of the release:
463953-001 -> 613154-001 -> 693709-001
So I would recommend getting 693709-001 here.
However, it's a bit expensive and you may find cheaper options elsewhere.
Hope this answers your question,

Hi DV7-3080ca,
Yes, it should suffice. PC manufacturers will often ship AC adapters that are higher than the minimum power requirement.
However, there's a slight chance that the battery will charge slower.
Hope this helps,
