HP 15-f004wm Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)

The laptop has meen running very slow for some time now and I’m looking to upgrade the ram, cpu and hard drive to help that problem. Just need a support list for each item so I can get the right products.

Hi:

The processor is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

You can replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" solid state drive (SSD).

I recommend the Western Digital Blue SA510 2.5" SSD in a capacity that meets your storage needs and budget.

Memory:  Your notebook has one memory slot and can support a maximum of 1 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory.

This should be a compatible memory chip for your notebook:

Crucial 8GB DDR3L-1600 SODIMM | CT102464BF160B | Crucial.com

Its specs

It is one slow on a list of slowest machines.

  1. CPU: it is integrated (or soldered) to its system board, you can't upgrade.
  2. RAM: It has 1 slot of RAM and supports 8GB max. It has  4GB DDR3L SDRAM (1 DIMM) now, you can replace it with 8GB using compatible RAM such as   https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr3/ct102464bf160b/ct6288074
  3. STORAGE: It has a slow 500GB 5400RPM hard drive now. You can replace it with a 2.5" SATA SSD such as https://www.crucial.com/ssd/mx500/ct1000mx500ssd1/ct11422806

Regards.
