15-AP005NA

Hi,

I have a HP Spectre x360 - 15-ap005na and need a replacement power supply after I lost the original one. A search returned this list : https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/Search_Results.aspx?mscssid=9B927FD49A89418F83CE79F09B06B7EB&SearchIn=K...

But there are a few power supplies here and when you try and look at details it says they are compatible with over 200 products, so they wont show the list. The one below looks OK, but i have no way of knowing for sure.

741553-850 In stock
Smart AC power adapter (45 watt) - 4.5mm barrel connector, non-power factor correcting (NFPC) - Requires separate 3-wire AC power cord with C5 connector

Does anyone know what one I should order. Or maybe what the original part number is for a power supply?

On another note, this has a USB-C port, but I assume that can't be used for charging. There is nothing in the manual to suggest it can be.

Thanks for your help

Alan

Hello @Alan80,

AC adapter, 45-W HP Smart adapter (non-PFC, RC, 3-wire, 4.5 mm
Non-slim 741553-850
Slim, for use in the United States 845836-850
Slim, for use in European 845837-850
Slim, for use in the The United Kingdom 845838-850

Power cord (3-pin, black, 1.83-m)
For use in Europe 490371-021
For use in North America 490371-001
For use in Switzerland 490371-111
For use in the United Kingdom and Singapore 490371-031

You can then use the HP Spare part number(s) in the HP Parts store hereYou may also be able to find it elsewhere on the Internet. Sorry, I wasn't able to understand what you were saying in your second paragraph because the HP PartSurfer link leads me to the default page.

Yeah, unfortunately, your Spectre x360 seems to be one of the first generations where HP didn't introduce Thunderbolt 3 ports yet therefore the USB-C port will not accept charging.

Kind regards,

Eddy

Hi Eddy,

Thankyou vedry much for that. I tried searching for teh UK version, but the parts store couldn't find that. I did find the 'Non-slim' version, so I will order that.

Thanks again.

Alan
