This is gonna take a real expert on HP parts. I own an old versión of a Victus laptop. The hinges that are between the screen and the keyboard broke, so everytime I open the PC the bezel of the screen gets damaged (it'll probably reach the screen eventually).

I looked for the parts I need in the official HP PartSurfer website, got the specific part ID (M54714-001 and N25223-001) and contacted all three of my coutry's part distributors. They told me that those parts are not avalible. Then I checked second hand stores and I had no luck either (there probably are some going around but I cannot trust random shop in Australia to ship me something to Chile). After that I checked Aliexpress, and thats when I found out that they are selling the parts I need, apparently for the same model, but these have 2 screws for the hinge instead of one, like mine.

My theory is that my laptop model got a "fix" for the hinge problem in the production line, making them with two screws so they no longer break. This would explain why there is to parts for my model.

If this were true, is it possible for me to install new (2 screw) hinges on my laptop so I can use the avalible parts for the new models of Victus 16?

I need to know if the parts would fit or my model is just a different size or there is no compatibility for the new hinges or the size of the screen or idk.

Please, I need to fix this before my PC's screen breaks.

Thanks for reading!!
