Microsoft Windows 11

The Best Buy Geek Squad informed me that I need a new battery for my HP Spectre x360 Convertible notebook (model # 13-aw0023dx).  Because Best Buy doesn't sell the battery, they told me to purchase it directly from HP and then they'll install it for me.  I've just spent an hour on HP's extremely unhelpful website, and I can't figure out how to order a new battery or what model of battery I need to order.  Can somebody please help me?!

Below is the link to the parts list for your notebook:

HP PartSurfer

The battery part number and description is:

L60373-005
Battery 4C 60Wh 3.946Ah LI RR

HP does not sell the battery you need, so the only suggestion I can offer would be to do a search by the HP L60373-005 battery part number and find a compatible aftermarket battery that references that part number.

Check on Amazon, eBay or laptopbatteryexpress.com

Paul:

Thanks very much for your quick and detailed reply.  It is much appreciated.  I'm new to this community so I have a couple of follow-up questions for you.  First, just for my own clarification, how do you know the exact part number for my battery?  Do you work for HP?  And secondly, if you know, please explain why HP would not sell replacements for this battery.  My laptop is less than 4 years old; why wouldn't HP stock replacement parts for its own laptops?  It seems ridiculous that I would need to purchase a "comparable aftermarket battery" from a company that isn't the manufacturer.

You're very welcome, Joe.

I had posted the link to the parts list for your notebook which has the battery part number and description.

I do not work for or represent HP, but I checked the HP parts store link below, entered the part number of the battery and got nothing.

The HP Parts Store - HP Computer Parts - HP Printer Parts - HP parts - hp batteries - SSD - printhea...

It has been my experience over the years seeing that HP does not sell many replacement batteries, and when they do, they are very expensive.

I wish I had better news for you, but I don't.

Thanks again, Paul.  Using the info you provided, I was able to find a replacement battery on Amazon, which I just ordered.

I appreciate that there are people like you in the world who help solve problems for strangers.  You should work in customer service for HP because your responses/explanations are so superior to their useless website.
