I need to know if this m2 solid drive HP EX900 M.2 500GB PCIe 3.0 x4 NV is compatible with my laptop HP Notebook - 17-bs025cl. I opened my laptop and it has the m.2 slot, so I was wondering if this one specific is compatible, cause I've heard that not all m.2 are compatible with different notebooks. Thanks in advance

No sorry. The SATA connection is limited to about 550 mbps, maybe 600 tops. 1500 mbps would require at least a 2x PCIe/NVME connection to achieve and your hardware is not of that type and just does not run that fast.
Don't minimize the speed of the SATA M.2. In ordinary operation it is much faster than a mechanical drive and the extra top speed of the NVME disk is only seen with very demanding tasks. As I always say SATA SSD is very very fast, NVME is insanely fast.

You have heard right. In this laptop only SATA M.2 disks are supported. This is the Service Manual:
See p. 3 for original configuration options and capability. Start on p. 41 for removal of the back coverand here is what you see inside:
M.2 slot circled in red
So to answer directly the drive you ask about will not work. It has to be something like the Samsung 860 Evo:
Also you should open the laptop FIRST before you order to be sure there is a M.2 slot actually present. Some models covered by the Manual which shows an M.2 slot do not actually have one. Also you want to check to see if you need a mounting screw as HP might not have provided it.
Post back with any other questions and please accept as solution if its the info you needed.
