Has to be compatible with that part number above. Of the ones you ask about only #2 is compatible as far as I can see. I purposely magnetize my screwdrivers before working on a laptop for better control of screws. Never had a problem. I would not purposely hold the magnetic screwdriver over the hard drive or any other part. Remove the screw and set the screwdriver to the side. I confess to not wearing a wriststap when working on laptops as it gets in the way. I do wear one sometimes when working on desktops as there is more structure there to move around and more places to clip and ground it. Clip it to something metal off the laptop if you must like a drawer handle. Sometimes there is just nothing near the workspace where you can attach it and that is another reason I do not use one on laptops. Never fried one with static.
