Hi @shokky .

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your BIOS update has failed, it can be a concerning situation, but there are steps you can take to try to recover from it. Here's a guide you can follow:

Check for Power: Make sure your laptop is connected to a power source. A loss of power during a BIOS update can be disastrous.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off your laptop.
  • Disconnect all peripherals and external devices.
  • Remove the laptop battery (if removable) or disconnect the power adapter.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to drain residual power.
  • Reconnect the battery or power adapter and turn on the laptop.

Use BIOS Recovery Key:

  • HP laptops often have a BIOS recovery feature. Check your laptop's manual or support documentation to find the specific key combination for initiating a BIOS recovery.
  • Typically, you might need to press and hold a specific key (like Win + B) while turning on the laptop.

Create a BIOS Recovery USB Drive:

  • Visit the HP official website and find the BIOS updates for your laptop model.
  • Download the latest BIOS update and create a bootable USB drive with it. HP may provide specific instructions and tools for this purpose.
  • Insert the USB drive into your laptop and follow the instructions to initiate the BIOS recovery process.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
