Hello,
I have an older model of the HP Spectre x360 from 2016 that has recently started to act up. Up until the end of 2019, my laptop would charge fine when the charger was placed in either one of the charging ports. Since the last half of 2019, I’ve had to angle my charger a certain way in the port so that my laptop would charge. However, now that is no longer an option. No matter how many times I angle the charger in either or the ports, my laptop will no longer take up charge.
I don’t think it’s a problem with the actual ac adaptor, the cable, or anything like that since it was a replacement that I got about a year ago. I think the ports are what is causing the problem. When I shone a light into the ports I noticed that on both of them, the edges look to be damaged or somewhat frayed.
Is there any way I can get it fixed or how do I fix it? In addition, I understand that due to COVID-19 there are service delays, but is there anyway I can get it fixed as soon as possible as I am a university student that is dependent on my laptop.Thank you!
