dv6-6c41se is the model.
Yes. Max memory is 16 gigs. See pp. 4-5.
On your model, dual and Quad Core processors use a different motherboard but you could install this i7 dual core:
Intel Core i7-2640M 2.80-GHz (SC turbo up to 3.50-GHz) processor (1333-MHz FSB,
4.0-MB L3 cache, dual core, 35 W
This would bump your clock speed from 2.5ghz to 2.8 and increase the L3 cache from 3 to 4 mb. Should be a pretty significant upgrade.
Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if its the info you needed.

Hi Huffer,
Thanks a lot for your response. I too have few questions, I have attached a link image, please have a look. As can you see my motherboard type? Does it compatible with octa-core processor?
1) What about the GPU. can I upgrade that too?
-Graphics device 1- AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series, version - 15.201.1151.1010 (18-Nov-15) (i wanna to upgrade from 1 GB) to 2 GB if possible.
-Graphics device 2- Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 (i wanna upgrade from 3GB) if possible to intel other GPU
Total graphics memory - 4,057 MB.
2) Also, I wanna upgrade the 1TB SSD. What is the maximum capacity compatible?
Can you help me with finding Latest supported spares?
Awaiting your response,
Thank you,
Shafzy.

I appreciate your enthusiasm but you are shooting for the moon and you need to bring your plans back to earth and understand people just do not do these kind of upgrade projects on older laptops. The SSD is the only upgrade you mentioned that is possible to do. There is no capacity limit. A 2.5 inch SATA SSD can be placed in the slot for the hard drive and I have seen those up to 4 TB but the cost is almost enough to buy a good new laptop.
