The max memory will be 8 gigs. You have 3 now which will be a 1 gig module and a 2 gig module. You could add 3 gigs to make 6 but right now it would do you no good as you have 32 bit Windows and it cannot use (address) more than about 3.5 gigs +/- of RAM due to mathematical limits of how much data a 32 bit operating system can use. This is true of all 32 bit operating systems, Windows, Linux, etc. So you have 2 issues: adding a memory module and then reinstalling 64 bit Windows so you can take advantage of it.
You can't do an in-place upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit but your license Code covers both types so if you can get a 64 bit OEM install disk you can activate it with the existing Key Code.
The Manual says 4 gigs is the maximum memory but we know the hardware will support 4 gig modules so you can have 6 gigs or even 8 gigs.
See p. 55 for "how to". Memory slots are under the keyboard.
This is the kind of memory you need:
It is DDR3-1333 and it is important it be low density: 8 black blocks on the side not 4.

Thank you / Best regards

You cannot fully use any of those with 32 bit Windows...of those 4 gigs (2 + 2) would be the best solution because at least you would get dual channel which runs slightly faster and you would have some small increase in useable memory...somewhere between half a gig and 3/4 of a gig which is not a small increase. So, if you do not want to change OS all you can do with any benefit at all is toss the 1 gig module and replace it with a 2 gig module.
