Hi i wanted to take the cpu that is in my hp prodesk 400 g4 and put it in my new rig in a asus rog maximus ix hero.

Can i do that or is it customized?

Please i need an answer quick , i contacted hp and they said they do not have this info please o don't wan't to find out eventually that my rig is not going to function when i buy everything.

No CPU's are not customized. It is up to new motherboard, you have to check with motherboard vendor to see does it support CPU's on the following list
