So I want to ask if it is possible to change my disc from HDD to SSD and is there a place to do it inside my laptop. It's been really slow for like 2 years and the disc is just broken so i want to replace it with a SSD disc. Do you have any recommendations and is there a place inside the laptop where i can do it. Also my HDD is 3,5'' and i want to install a 2,5" SSD

Hi,
The best idea is to replace the HDD with an M2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
This will be much faster than a 2.5" SSD
Example
You can then reinstall the OS on the M2 SSD
On page 44 of service manual you can see the steps to install M2 PCIe NVMe SSD
On page 40 of service manual you can see the steps to remove the HDD

You can replace the HDD with a 2.5" SSD (your HDD in the machine is 2.5")
All you need to do is remove the HDD and place the SSD
However, as I said before, much better to install an M2 SSD.
While you are upgrading, you could also add another 8GB of RAM to the machine (in the empty slot)

I would remove the mechanical HDD as it could slow down the PC.
Insert an M2 PCIe NVMe SSD and install Windows on the notebook.
You can create a USB drive from Microsoft and directly install

or you can use HP cloud recovery tool
