I've been having some problems with my laptop for a while and found out that the prog that I really need isn't compatible with my laptop. I found some cheap processors that I can switch my processor with. But I've been wondering if it's possible to change the processor on my laptop. I am using the 

HP ENVY x360 - 15-ds0003ca
 So any help would be appreciated!

Hi:

 

The processor your PC has is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

 

The only way to upgrade the processor would be to replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual that may come with a better processor.

The costs associated with doing such an upgrade would meet or exceed the cost you originally paid for the notebook, making such an upgrade a poor return on investment.
