Please recommend a motherboard that can take at least 16GB of RAM and a decent processor for my old HP 15-R225CY TOUCHSMART NOTEBOOK PC. The now deceased motherboard it came with is compact and doesn't even have a fan. I want a motherboard with some power. So please if any of you have any suggestions I would really appreciate it. Even though it's $25 bucks for a replacement of the stock motherboard I would prefer a more powerful motherboard capable of having more ram. Thanks in advance.

Here is the Maintenance & Service guide.
h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04409502.pdf
See chapter 3, pages 17 and 18.
Compatible system boards are listed by description and part number.
Since there was only one display for the touchscreen version listed , when researching the system boards make sure they are touchscreen compatible if having that touchscreen is important to you.
The Intel Core i5 and higher system boards support 16 GB. I am unsure about the Core i3 board.
Have fun researching and upgrading.
