I have an HP Envy 17" laptop model number: 17n008na and I would like to add a 2.5" internal SD drive, there is a box next to the mother board for this, but no direct connection port like older laptop models, so I assume I have to use a cable- there is a port for one. I have tried a number of cables, but none have worked. Does anyone know the correct cable part number for this laptop and where would one purchase it?
The current hard drive is: WD Green M2 2280 240GB on a card that slots directly into the mother board.

You will need more than the drive cable to install a 2.5" drive.
See chapter 3, page 18 of the service manual.

Hard Drive Hardware Kit (not illustrated) HP part # 813796-001
You may want to consider replacing the 240 GB WD Green M.2 SATA SSD with this one:
