I have a hp Pavilion gaming laptop with 1tb hdd. I want to install a ssd. So I want to know which type of ssd will go with my device, m.2 or nvme? Or both?

Please help me.

It supports dual storage with M.2 NVMe SSD + 2.5" HDD (or SSD). It has  1 TB 5400 rpm SATA now, you can add 1TB or 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD to your machine using standard M.2 NVMe drives on market today such as  https://www.crucial.com/ssd/p5-plus/ct2000p5pssd8/ct20116079
