Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade RAM in my Pavilion 15 Notebook - p001 tx,  & which RAM will suitable DDR3 Or DDR4?

I want it's limit of upgrade, upto which extent  it can be extended? 

Does it matter in performance regarding 2 different 4 GB RAM in different slots Or single 8 GB RAM

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook.

 

Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | hp - compaq | pavilion 15 series | Pavilion 15-p001tx | Crucial IN

 

You can install a max of 2 x 8 GB of DDR3L memory in your notebook.   DDR4 memory is not supported.

 

You can add another 4 GB of memory and have 8 GB running in dual channel mode, or you can add an 8 GB memory chip in the empty slot and have 12 GB running in single channel mode like it is now with only 4 GB installed.

 

In order for the memory to run in the higher performing dual channel mode, you have to install the memory in matching capacities (2 x 4 GB, 2 x 8 GB).
