I'm trying to transform my HP Pavilion g6 laptop to a gaming laptop but I don't know what part will fit my motherboard, I'm planning on changing my CPU or GPU but the issue is that I don't know what will fit or if it will increase the speed of the laptop or not so this is why I'm asking the community for help and recommendations for my laptop so I could be able to run games on is (just have in note that I have bought 16GB of ram already in case that's an issue because i have 2x 8GB ram sticks).
But if someone can answer later in the future, I appreciate your help.

Yes, that's why I wanted the product number.
You have a g6t-1b00 CTO Notebook PC.
I have attached the service manual below.
According to chapter 1, you can actually go as high as the Intel® Core™ i7-2620M processor since your notebook has the i3-2310M processor.

What is the product number of your PC?
You can find the product number by running the Windows system information app.
The product number will be found on the System SKU line.
The graphics adapter cannot be upgraded as it is an integral part of the motherboard.
You can replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA solid state drive (SSD).

Sure! Product number is LM172AV hope that helped!
But I'm still wondering if by any chance you could tell me about what type of CPUs will fit my device and make it faster, I'm aiming for an intel core i5.

I'd install the best one you can.
Here is a side-by side comparison of your PC's current processor and the i7-2620M.
Intel® Product Specification Comparison
The i7 has a larger cache, a higher base frequency and it supports turbo-boost which allows the processor to run as fast as 3.40 GHz if load demands require it.
And the graphics max dynamic frequency is a bit faster.
And it is certainly not going to break the bank if you buy one.
