Hi, I have a HP Pavilion notebook 14s-dq2512sa.
I just wanted to check if this RAM 8GB DDR4 2666MHZ PC4-21300 260 PIN SODIMM is compatible and ok to use in my laptop. Iam only asking as i don't want to put incompatible RAM into my laptop and cause any serious issues.
Thank you.

Hi:
There are many different memory manufacturers and while that may be the right general specification, no one can answer your question without knowing exactly what brand/memory part number you plan on installing.
Are you aware that your notebook comes configured with 2 x 4 GB of memory and not 1 x 8 GB?

That means you will have to remove one of the 4 GB memory chips to install the 8 GB memory chip.
I recommend you buy 2 x 8 GB of memory, so you have 16 GB of memory running in dual channel mode.
12 GB will run in single channel mode.
I recommend Crucial memory since they guarantee compatibility with your notebook.
The DDR4-3200 memory will automatically bridge to 2666 MHz.
