Hi:

There is a conflict with the processor you posted your notebook has and what the HP specs indicate the processor your PC has is.

It makes a big difference because the notebooks with the Intel core processors support 2 x 8 GB of memory and the notebooks with the Intel Pentium processors only have one memory slot and support 1 x 8 GB of memory.

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the memory upgrade info.

This would be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook no matter what processor it has.

If it only has 4 GB and an Intel i3-8130U processor, you can buy 2 x 8 GB.

If it has 8 GB of memory, you just need to buy one chip and install it in the empty slot.

If it has an Intel Pentium processor with 4 GB of memory you can buy 1 x 8 GB.

Many Thanks - that will be one 8 for my notebook - unfortunately have the Pentium processor 😞

You're very welcome.

Since you have to open up the notebook to replace the memory, you may want to also replace the mechanical hard drive with a better performing 2.5" SATA solid state drive (SSD).

That will help as much or more than installing 8 GB of memory.
