Hello,
My laptop model is HP 15 bw0xx.
The battery started to die at 30-40% constantly, and it wouldn't turn on until I plugged in an external power source. I suspect that I need to replace my old battery.
Currently, the JC04 (14.6V 2850mAh) battery is installed. I want to replace it with a battery with a bigger capacity if possible; otherwise, choose the same battery. What options do I have? I should consider the fact that batteries differ in their size, and they should be compatible with my laptop.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards, Narek.

If that is the original battery, I am surprised that it is still working, considering that your laptop is from the 2017 model year.
Laptop batteries usually last for 300-500 cycles. How many does yours have?
It is time to replace it with a new battery
The Maintenance & Service guide for your laptop model series
The compatible batteries (from the manual)
4-cell, 41-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery 919701-850
3-cell, 31-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery 919700-850
Only use genuine HP batteries that have the HP part number and the HP logo on them.
Non-genuine (generic), ( i.e HT03XL) batteries are known to sometimes not work as expected because of their non standard programming of the internal BMS (battery management system) chip. If you read through threads in the forum related to problems after battery replacement you will see many members who have used generic batteries complaining that they are not working as expected.

Hey Erico,
Thanks for your reply.
It's the original one. It shows 29/300, which is not the actual number. It's because I used to keep the battery between 20-90%. I also checked the battery report, showing that the capacity decreased by 48%.
Thanks again ))
