The only difference is the i5-3230M uses the HD 4000 graphics, and your notebook's current processor uses the HD 2000 graphics.

I don't know how good the HD 4000 is. However, I do own two laptops, one with Intel HD Graphics 3000, and another with HD Graphics 4600. There is a huge gap in performance between the two chips. The 3000 struggles even playing HD Youtube clips (it must heat up a lot because the cooling fan gets faster and louder). Whereas the 4600 has never given me any issues, except when playing games or something.
