HI I have purchased this hp 15 bg004au in 2017 from ( https://www.flipkart.com/hp-apu-quad-core-a8-a8-7410-4-gb-1-tb-hdd-windows-10-home-15-bg004au-laptop... )
now i want to upgrade its ram by keeping 8gb ram of " ddr3l pc3l-12800s 1600mhz ".
after upgrading will it harm or there will be no change.
presently my laptop have ddr3 ram pc3 14200 ( 889mhz) , what happens if keep ddr3l in another slot.?

You're very welcome.
I guess HP didn't have any DDR3L-1600 memory modules on hand so they installed a DDR3L-1866 MHz memory chip instead.
As you can see, the memory is running at 1.35V.
Below is the link to the service manual.

If you look at chapter 1 page 2, it shows the memory configuration for your notebook is 1600 MHz.
So the memory chip in your notebook is running at 1600 MHz now, and the one you add will also run at 1600 MHz.

Hi:
The 8 GB DDR3L memory should work fine with the DDR3-1866 MHz memory.
I'm surprised the PC has that memory chip in it because the specs from HP indicate that it came with a 4 GB DDR3L-1600 memory chip.
