Is it going to be fine.
Mixing brands and module capacity usually does not end well. It can also be a waste of your time, money and add frustration to the upgrade. Do it the right way and it will work. Upgrade with identical guaranteed compatible memory modules.

The maximum installed memory is 16 GB.
The processor cannot be upgraded as it is integrated into the system board. It is not a socketed type processor.
The best practice is to install memory in identical pairs of guaranteed compatible memory modules.

If Crucial memory states that 16 GB of their memory is compatible with your notebook, then that means that the company guarantees that it will work.
Crucial memory puts their company reputation on the line when they make a guarantee.
If you don't believe them and just want to put 16 GB of installed memory in the notebook it is your choice.

I believe that is what the Member is asking. You give Crucial as 100% compatible. Most likely in the system there is 4GB of Hynix RAM.
So, yes you can add another 8GB of compatible Crucial RAM (which you can get cheaper in large online stores than on Crucial site) together with the 4GB of Hynix RAM.

David
