I wish to extend RAM by 16Gb (keeping the pre-existing 8Gb RAM) and add 520GB SSD to my laptop (keeping the pre-existing 1 TB HDD). Is it possible? Please help

Hi,
Yes, you can add an 8GB module to the notebook. Page 36 of the service manual
Max RAM for the machine is 32GB
Example of compatible RAM

You can add an M2 PCIe NVMe SSD to the machine from your desired brand and capacity. You could also just remove the HDD and get a larger M2 SSD. You will need to reinstall Windows on the SSD. page 36 service manual.
