I would really like to replace my keyboard for my laptop model HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14m-dh0xxx with one that is backlit. Am I able to do this? I do a lot of 'writing' as an English teacher and one taking graduate courses in creative writing and I need that extra light for work in to the late evenings and nights. This has really become a necessity at this time.

They made versions with lighted and non-lighted keyboards. Nothing in the service guide states whether you can use one in place of the other. Unless someone else can provide a more definitive answer I would say the only way to find out might be to try it. Keep in mind the keyboard is part of the top cover so both are replaced at the same time and you must ensure you order the right color to match and get the correct country code. You can find the maintenance and service guide here
