I have the Omen by HP 15-ce0xx

this pc have a 1 TB Hdd, being a hard disk makes it unable to run some program smoothly, i would like to change it with a 1TB SSD, could you tell me if it's possible and reccomend wich one i should buy?

(i don't whant to change the included 100GB ssd as it has windows installed into)

 

The current HDD is the HGST HTS721010A9E630

Hi:

 

There should be no problem with you replacing the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD.

 

This is a good performing model at a decent price:

This one is pretty good too. 

 

I believe the write speed is a little less than the Samsung drive...510 MB/S

The drives will come unformatted, so you will need to initialize the disk after you install it.

Thanks a lot for your answer, and if i wanted to install a 2TB SSD instead, could there be any problems?

You're very welcome.

 

While I can't give you a 100% guarantee a 2 TB 2.5" SSD would work, I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't.
