- When was the last time it was working fine?

Unfortunately the HP agent did not read your post before replying.
Many smaller laptops do not have the Ins(Insert) key on the keyboard. There is a simple workaround for that.
In Microsoft Word or any other productivity document you can use Ctrl-C to copy and Ctrl-V to paste.
