Hello @Austin46

the standard procedure is to go up not down.

To go down there has to be a reason, if you want to do it, contact HP

https://support.hp.com/

Please report your results.

best regards

I am trying to install linux os (ZORION OS), to do that i have to access the SATA setting in the BIOS which i could not find in my BIOS version, so I am thinking to install previous BIOS version to see if i can access the SATA settings.

ALTHOUGH MY MAIN CONCERN IS WHETHER I CAN INSTALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS IN MY DEVICE OR NOT

If it is possible or not possible i want to know please give me some helpful response.

THANKS !

Hello @Austin46

Using to latest bios is best practice to start. You will definitely benefit from bug fixes and updates from the manufacturer.

Please post pictures of your bios pages, I can help you.

For Linux there are special drivers that can be used.

As I said before only a HP Technician can answer you the question how to downgrade your bios.

Please report your results.
