My HP Pavilion 15-bc000nq laptop reported INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR several times during wake up from sleep mode.
As I've seen on the forum that a similar issue was reported by users which are using AMD graphic card, but on my case I have nVidia.
I am using WIn 10 Pro with all the updates done.
System configuration: Intel® Core™ i5-6300HQ 2.3Ghz, Skylake™, 15.6', Full HD, IPS, 4GB, 1TB, nVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 950M 2GB.
Please let me know if there is a fix for this error.
Thank you,
Silviu

Thank you for joining HP Forums.
I'll be glad to help you 🙂
As I understand you are getting the error - "INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR",
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Did the computer come with the Windows 10 Pro as HP usually only sends the consumer version such as Home along with the PCs?
Was this issue occurring before upgrading to the Windows 10 pro, as well?
While you respond to that, I must let you know that HP doesn't recommend changing the OS to a retail copy of Windows, and I would recommend switching back to the OEM as any other version of OS would void the software warranty on the PC,
That said, I am willing to provide some basic support for you, please start with:
- Disable hibernate file. Run CMD as Administrator, and type the following:
- powercfg hibernate off
If the issue persists,
1. Login to safe mode:
a. Windows + R
b. msconfig
c. Boot -> Safe mode -> minimal -> OK -> Restart
2. Uninstall drivers
a. Right click on My Computer
b. Devices
c. Uninstall Graphics and Network drivers - it can be one of them
Try to uninstall all possible drivers
d. Restart PC
3. Return from safe mode
a. Windows + R
b. msconfig
c. Boot -> unclick Safe mode -> OK -> Restart
Let me know how that pans out
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And Feel free to ask any other queries as well,
